Isuzu Motors Limited (Head Office: Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture; President and COO: Shinsuke Minami) has commenced production of the D-MAX EV, Isuzu's first fully electric 1-ton pickup truck, in Thailand.The first D-MAX EV, which was exhibited to the public as a prototype at the 45th Bangkok International Motor Show in Thailand in March last year, has now entered mass production. Production of the left-hand drive model for Europe has commenced, and it will be shipped to major European markets in the third quarter of 2025.

Production of the D-MAX EV right-hand drive model is scheduled to begin at the end of this year, with sales expected to start in 2026 in the UK and will be rolled out to other countries and areas based on market needs.The D-MAX EV’s full-time 4WD system, featuring newly developed e-Axles in the front and rear, ensures excellent performance on rough terrain. This system provides linear acceleration typical of EVs, all while minimizing noise and vibration. Additionally, the high towing capacity and high payload are made possible by powerful electric motors and a robust frame and body design, allowing the D-MAX EV to match the performance of existing diesel models.

Watpuangnimit school is a medium-sized school located in Khao Chakan District, Sa Kaeo Province, teaching from Kindergarten 1 to Mathayom 3 with more than 300 students, teachers, and staff in total. The school suffers from a drought during the dry season every year because it relies on the village's main water source for consumption. Whenever there is a shortage of water in a village, students and staff will suffer as well. Therefore, Isuzu sent a team to survey the problem and install a clean drinking water system consisting of a full scale underground water system, a standard clean drinking water filter system with a drinking water production center. Isuzu also provided training for designated staff on how to use, clean, and maintain the water system, as well as regularly checking the water quality to ensure it meets safety standards. This guarantees that students and school personnel can continuously access clean, hygienic drinking water and sustainably solve the drinking water problem. Moreover, for the “Isuzu Gives Water…for Life” project this year, Isuzu has added special equipment to the clean drinking water production process, namely the installation of a solar power system. This is in line with Isuzu’s commitment to Carbon Neutrality, which is the key policy, as well as supporting the Thai government’s objective of using renewable energy sources, while reducing the school’s electricity expenses by more than 3,000 baht per month.

สำหรับโรงเรียนวัดพวงนิมิต เป็นโรงเรียนขนาดกลาง ตั้งอยู่ในอำเภอเขาฉกรรจ์ จังหวัดสระแก้ว เปิดสอนตั้งแต่อนุบาล 1 ถึงมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 3 มีนักเรียน คุณครู และบุคลากรทั้งสิ้นกว่า 300 คน โรงเรียนดังกล่าวประสบปัญหาขาดแคลนน้ำในช่วงหน้าแล้งของทุกปี เนื่องจากต้องพึ่งพาแหล่งน้ำหลักในการอุปโภคและบริโภคจากหมู่บ้าน เมื่อใดก็ตามที่หมู่บ้านขาดแคลนน้ำ นักเรียนและบุคลากรจึงได้รับความเดือดร้อนไปด้วย อีซูซุจึงส่งทีมงานลงพื้นที่สำรวจปัญหาและติดตั้งระบบน้ำดื่มสะอาดที่ประกอบด้วย ระบบบ่อบาดาลครบวงจร ระบบกรองน้ำดื่มสะอาดตามมาตรฐาน พร้อมอาคารศูนย์ผลิตน้ำดื่ม พร้อมจัดอบรมวิธีการใช้งาน การทำความสะอาด และการบำรุงรักษาให้กับบุคลากรที่รับผิดชอบ รวมทั้งการเข้าไปตรวจสอบคุณภาพน้ำให้ได้มาตรฐานอย่างสม่ำเสมอ เพื่อให้นักเรียนและบุคลากรในโรงเรียนได้มีน้ำดื่มสะอาดถูกหลักอนามัยบริโภคอย่างต่อเนื่องเพื่อแก้ปัญหาน้ำดื่มอย่างยั่งยืน นอกจากนี้ สำหรับโครงการ “อีซูซุให้น้ำ...เพื่อชีวิต” ในปีนี้ เราได้เพิ่มอุปกรณ์พิเศษในกระบวนการผลิตน้ำดื่มสะอาด นั่นคือ การติดตั้งระบบพลังงานแสงอาทิตย์ เพื่อให้สอดคล้องกับความมุ่งมั่นของอีซูซุในเรื่องความเป็นกลางทางคาร์บอน (Carbon Neutrality) ซึ่งเป็นนโยบายหลักของอีซูซุ รวมทั้งการสนับสนุนนโยบายของรัฐบาลไทยในการใช้พลังงานจากทรัพยากรทดแทน และยังช่วยลดค่าไฟฟ้าของโรงเรียนได้กว่า 3,000 บาทต่อเดือนอีกด้วย

Mr. Sikarin Sawangwong, Director of Watpuangnimit school, talked about the water problem at the school, “Since I took up my position at Watpuangnimit school, the first problem I encountered was the water problem. In addition to the insufficient water for usage or drinking, there was also the problem of contaminated water. This was because it was surface water from a source adjacent to villagers' sugarcane and crop fields, where some farmers use herbicides. I would like to thank Isuzu and the Department of Groundwater Resources, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment on behalf of the students, teachers, and people in the community, for their kindness in organizing this project. Water is vital and is a main factor that contributes to the country's progress.”

คุณศิขรินทร์ สว่างวงศ์ ผู้อำนวยการโรงเรียนวัดพวงนิมิต กล่าวถึงปัญหาน้ำที่โรงเรียนว่า “ตั้งแต่ที่ผมเข้ามาดำรงตำแหน่งที่โรงเรียนวัดพวงนิมิตนั้น ปัญหาแรกที่เจอเลยก็คือ ปัญหาเรื่องน้ำ นอกจากปัญหาน้ำไม่เพียงพอต่อการใช้ หรือการดื่มแล้ว ยังมีปัญหาน้ำที่มีอยู่มีสารปนเปื้อน เนื่องจากว่าเป็นน้ำผิวดิน ซึ่งติดกับไร่อ้อยและไร่พืชของชาวบ้าน ที่ส่วนหนึ่งก็จะมีการใช้ยาฆ่าหญ้า ขอขอบคุณอีซูซุและกรมทรัพยากรน้ำบาดาล กระทรวงทรัพยากรธรรมชาติและสิ่งแวดล้อม แทนนักเรียน คุณครู และคนในชุมชนที่เมตตาจัดทำโครงการนี้เพราะว่าเรื่องของน้ำเป็นสิ่งที่สำคัญ ประเทศจะเจริญก้าวหน้า น้ำเป็นปัจจัยหลัก”

Isuzu Group Foundation and Tri Petch Isuzu Training Institute by Mr. Sopon Tangthansap, Assistant General Manager, donated a set of automotive training equipment a total of 200,000 baht to the Automotive Technology Center in collaboration between the Faculty of Engineering, Thammasat University and the Isuzu Group, with the aim of supporting the development of automotive engineering personnel in Thailand. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sanya Mitaim, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, was the recipient.

The introduction event of the future diesel engines, the New! 2.2 Ddi MAXFORCE and New! 3.0 Ddi MAXFORCE…The FORCE of FUTURE, was held spectacularly at Chang International Circuit, Buriram Province. The event included a driving performance test by journalists, an engine exhibition, a variety of vehicle displays of Isuzu D-Max and MU-X, both standard models from the factory and special decorated vehicles, totaling 23 units, including various booths from partners. In addition, there were special talks on stage with famous racing drivers and car gurus who were a part of the performance test, and a special show from famous artists -- Win-Metawin and Maprang-Alisa driving MU-X and Isuzu D-Max using alternative energy from the HVO-mixed fuel, a new generation biodiesel fuel synthesized from used vegetable oil, aligned with the "Multi-pathways to Carbon Neutrality" policy of Isuzu.
