30 Years of Success, from a Mechanic… to a Branch Manager

Who would have thought that a young man who started out as a car mechanic at a service center would rise to become a highly responsible executive today? My story with Auto Technic Company began in 1993 as a mechanic at SAAB passenger car service center, Sathu Pradit branch.

Every Step of Service Work

The time I worked at Sathu Pradit was the time when I truly learned every aspect of service work, whether it was service consulting, car maintenance, parts management, finishing repair documents and delivering to customers. I honed my skills, reaching a high level of proficiency. And most importantly, I learned the importance of providing professional customer service, which is an important foundation for success in this line of work.

Opportunities for Growth and Development

Throughout my career at Auto Technic, I was given opportunities for continuous growth and development. The company assigned me to work at various branches, such as the head office on New Petchburi Road, Tha Phra, Pinklao, and Pathum Thani. I also had the opportunity to learn in various fields, which helped me develop my skills and knowledge at all times.

Leap into New Challenges

Every time I am assigned a new role, it is a turning point in my working life. In the first 6 years, I started with the technician line of work, where I learned both technical and service aspects. Then I was assigned to be the assistant manager of the service center, which made me learn more about team management, planning and solving complex problems. With all the experiences I have gained over 15 years, I was given the opportunity to be both the head of the repair section and later the manager of the service department, which was a change in my role from a direct operator to an executive and planner. Another important turning point was the opportunity to be the manager of the passenger car sales department. Working with people of various levels made me develop my communication skills, presentation skills and having good relationships with customers. Moreover, I was given the opportunity to be the assistant manager of the body and paint service department. Personally, I see working in various positions as a way to expand my knowledge and skills. With all the skills and experiences I learned and grew with the company, I was trusted to take on higher positions until I became the manager of the body and paint service at Pathum Thani branch.

Challenges and Self-Development

Although I have good opportunities, it is undeniable that working in each position is full of challenges, especially during the times when I have to take on responsibilities that I have never done before, such as sales or body and paint services. With determination, support from the executives and good colleagues, I was able to overcome obstacles and expand my skillset continuously. These challenges have become the driving force for me to constantly develop myself and have given me more confidence in my work.

In addition to the opportunities for career growth, another thing that made me decide to stay with the company for a long time is the excellent welfare. The company always gives importance to all employees – be it an annual salary adjustment, annual bonus, or a 5-year working anniversary gift. These things are all encouragement for me to work happily and feel like a part of the company. Besides, the company also organizes various recreational activities regularly for employees to relax and at ease, making the working atmosphere smooth and happy.
